On 10 February the EU-India summit takes place in the Indian capital New Delhi. Both governments want to agree at this summit of the central aspects of the trade agreement, which is negotiated since 2007. The plan is a comprehensive market opening. The Catholic Development Fund MISEREOR and the Heinrich Boell Foundation warn of serious violations of the right to food, dairy and poultry farmers and street vendors. "The proposed agreement threatened the food security in India," said trade expert from MISEREOR Armin Paasch. This was the result of the study, which was presented by the two organizations in December 2011 in Berlin and Brussels.
